Starting and ending in Kent, CT, the tour travels through CT, then to the Berkshires of Massachusetts, into Bennington VT, Shoreham VT, and Burlington, VT.

The Western New England Greenway was developed by the Housatonic Heritage Foundation as part of their work for the Upper Housatonic Valley National Heritage Area, a program of the National Park Service (that serves the Housatonic River watershed region) to highlight western CT, MA, and VT. The tour includes a side trip to the Ausable Chasm - The Grand Canyon on the east. BTCNJ members will be covered by People Cycling’s insurance (as part of the rider fee). The cycling will average 53 miles per day.

The tour will be led by Rick Gallo. Rick, a BTCNJ member, and experienced tour leader for several biking clubs. This tour is a combined tour of BTCNJ and People Cycling.

This tour includes: 8 nights of indoor lodging, luggage transfer, emergency SAG support, well stocked nightly social hours (including adult beverages), lunch, and snack supplies, floor pumps, extra tubes, tires, bike parts, cue sheets, maps, GPS tracks, and getting bikes to the start and back for BTCNJ members. Participants can pedal with the leader or other participants. All tour participants must have and carry a cell phone. All unused monies will be refunded to participants.
