Class 1 E-Bikes (pedal-assist only, with no throttle, and have a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph) are the only E-bikes allowed on BTCNJ club rides (E-Bike Policy).

Riding with BTCNJ

All rides "roll" (depart) 15 minutes after the listed start time. This gives people time to set-up (check their bikes, add air to their tires, etc) and get signed-in.

Club rides are classified by four properties, which, together, give some indication of how difficult the ride is: the (1) length, the (2) speed / pace, (3) terrain, (4) surface (paved or unpaved).

Keep in mind that there are   Rider Responsibilities   and   Group Riding Rules   to participate on a club ride. Helmets are required on all club rides. Class 1 or 3 E-Bikes (pedal-assist only, with no throttle) are the only E-bikes allowed on BTCNJ club rides (E-Bike Policy).

➔ Make sure you are carrying a tube appropriate for your tire and any special tools needed to remove your wheels.

***** Please note the ride start in Burnt Mills Park is different from the RWGPS Start ***** Winter Non-Stop - A short gravel (mixed surface) ride with several inclines but no significant or Killer climbs. These roads hold up well to rain and have minimal mud after light or moderate rains. At times there are washboard sections and side slippers! Ride will not go in rain but mud and wet roads are part of the graveling adventure. ]

Help me with my goal to lead at least one ride a month. This is harder in the winter months but we can bundle up! Nice, easy meander through some Bergen and Passaic county towns. Something along the lines of the RWGPS route provided. May be more of a peppy C. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
