Let's have a fun and safe ride to Smartworld Coffee in Denville. This is a B* ride category, and we should average between 15-16.9 mph after the ride. We might go over a little depends on the ride vibes. We will regroup as necessary and nobody gets dropped. Please read and obey the Club Safety Rules and Guidelines regarding group riding. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
----------Tip of the Day: ALWAYS EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

🎂 Every day is someone's birthday somewhere... but this Saturday, it's one of our riders!
And what do we do when it's someone's birthday? We ride, of course! 🎉🚴 R5m
Join us for a metric century featuring just enough climbing to remind your legs they're alive—but not enough to make you question your life choices. We'll make a stop at Patisserie NinaLou in Chester at mile 26.

*** A few sections of the route may be busy, so please use common sense, ride safely, and avoid impeding traffic whenever possible. Of course, helmets are required, earbuds are not allowed, and lights are highly recommended.
Remember: SAFETY FIRST. Stay alert and pay attention while you ride. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. Rides with 20 or more riders will be split into 2 or more groups. ]
Chill ride to Howard's Bagels in Montville and we'll do the Jacksonville hill on the return. Expect no more than about 17 or so on the flats, and much slower on the climbs. I expect we'll have a final average somewhere in the middle of the B range. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Join me for a high B, barely B*, fun, relaxed, no drop ride. We will regroup at the top of climbs and as needed. Refreshments in Denville, mile 28, at Church Street Bagels. The average speed depends on the riders. I expect it will be from 14.5 to 15.0 mph. I will start from Midland Park, if you want a round trip of 15 more miles let me know. We have to leave Midland Park Library by 9. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Depending on the heat and how we feel, we can shorten the ride to 21 miles, by not going out to the end of the pier in Piermont. There is a bathroom at the beginning of the ride and we will stop at D'Ercoles for bathroom and snack break. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Join us for a ride to Nyack with a stop at Didier's. We will ride out to the pier in Piermont and to the end of Broadway in Nyack. There are no killer hills. As long as you can maintain a C* pace you will not be dropped. We will regroup as necessary. At the start there are restrooms in the police station and at Dunkin. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. Rides with 20 or more riders will be split into 2 or more groups. ]
WEATHER LOOKS PERFECT. Sign up please only if committed. Urban adventure disguised as a bike ride. We ride south on the Hudson River Walkway from Liberty State Park through the Port Liberte development before doubling back to the Liberty Landing ferry for the 10:30 boat to Brookfield Place Terminal in Manhattan ($10/ $6 seniors, one way). We then ride south on the Hudson River Greenway to the Battery for the ferry to Governor’s Island ($5 RT, seniors free). We will tool around Governor’s Island and eat our lunch before catching our ferry to Red Hook, Brooklyn. We will ride the protected bike lane to the Brooklyn Bridge , but not before ice cream at Van Leeuwen’s. Take the newish bike lane across the BB, and then across lower Manhattan to ferry back to Jersey City. Bring a snack or buy from food trucks on GI. Fantastic views and a good time to be had by all. Most of it is car-free. Expect a C pace, but I listed it at C* because city riding requires experienced, assertive, confident bike handling skills. The ferry to Brooklyn has a 10 bike limit. If there is not space for all our bikes, we may have to go straight back to Manhattan. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. If you signup for a ride and your plans change, please cancel the night before the ride so that we can get an accurate count. ]
This is a quiet, leisurely ride on a paved trail (flat except for a small hill, each way). There will be no cue sheet; no one will be dropped as long as they maintain a C pace. Meet in the 4th parking lot. Questions: call/text 'twix 07:00 AM & 07:00 PM. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Easy cruiser around Pequannock and Lincoln Park. A slightly modified version of what we normally do. Is it better? Is it worse? We certainly cant get lost! One stop at Dunkin Donuts at mile 12. Arrive well hydrated with a good attitude. Possible lunch afterwards at the airport sunset pub. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
A gentle ride for the novice rider. The trail is paved, and it is mostly flat (not counting overpasses) except for one or two short hills. We will not average more than a "D" pace. Bring a bicycle in good working order, helmet, water, snack?, etc. Some questions entertained, emphasis on riding safety and technique. Questions: call/text 'twix 07:00 AM & 07:00 PM. MEET in the 4th parking lot. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]

It’s worth the climb, sign up if you like donuts. Bring your lights and ride safe, Thank you 😊. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Nice B* ride to Lake Parsippany. Hills getting out/back in Montclair. Then rolling terrain. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Let's head to Mahwah and Ramsey. We'll have a quick stop/"refuel" at Dunkin Donuts at mid-point of the trip. Terrain is rolling with a few hills and, as always, we'll be slower in the first half and faster on the way back, aiming at overall end average in the low 15 mph, making this ride suitable for strong B riders. Please be on time as we'd like to leave promptly, if we can. We should be back at the parking lot before 11:30am. Please carry with you plenty of fluid and a snack. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Barely B*. A slow going North, B* riding South. a slightly different route No DROP ride. Refreshments at mile 28 in Pomona. If the first person to sign-up wants a different start time, call me. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
A beautiful ride with plenty of climbing. Pick up food at Gladstone Market mile 17 then ride to Dunham Park mile 25 for lunch so bring a knapsack or other means of carrying your lunch safely. The final 4 miles are on a lovely bike path -- with shade! Expect a low to mid B pace and we will regroup as necessary. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Notes: No bathrooms at the start point but there is a Quick Check about a mile before you get to start point.  Address of start point is 529 US-46 E and it is now a Family Dollar, no longer A&P.  We normally park in the northeast corner of the parking lot.  Just before you get there you can make a left onto Water St CR 620 and then a quick right to stay on CR-620 and you will be in back of Family Dollar.  If you miss Water St, you can make a left at next intersection. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
We will ride north and cross Congers Lake. Rest stop will be late so bring enough water. At mile 21 we will stop at Coffee Ride Cafe for your preferred form of caffeine (I go for Affogato-Espresso + Ice Cream---- 😋) Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Low traffic (we hope!) country roads in Orange county. We will do a C* pace and regroup as needed at climbs and intersections. Rest stop planned at a county park approximately mile 23. BYO or there is a deli nearby as well. Please park across the street from the Quik Check - there is a laundromat in a small strip mall there Ride will not go in rain ]
This is the same route we led for the Membership Appreciation event back in May. This route has too many turns to be suitable for a C* category, but it’s so flat that we will be doing a low C* pace (~11.5 mph avg). Please be prepared for a quick pace. We manage to get 16 miles in without having to cross Rt23. Rest stop half way. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Let's go for an easy spin on flat, quiet roads in Pequannock. We will ride as a group with rests and regroups as needed. No bathroom at the start, but we will stop at one less than three miles into the ride. We will use part of the new Pompton Valley paved rail trail. Bring water, a helmet (mandatory), and a bike in good working condition. Hope you can join me. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
CALLING ALL D RIDERS (and C riders who like a leisurely ride), looking for a short, no stress D paced ride. If you are tired riding the flats of the park and/or Pequannock, then join me on this Ramapo Rally family ride. The terrain is rolling with one or two tiny hills. Most years we had several kids on the ride, so you know YOU CAN DO THIS TOO. NO ONE WILL BE DROPPED! As a friendly reminder: Bring water, a helmet (mandatory), and have your bike in good working order. Please note that we will not be leaving from the Campgaw parking lot but from the old picnic area, which is about 100 yards past the yellow gates on your left. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]

Quick loop from Kinnelon, no stops, meeting place is in the back of the mall. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Join me on this Monday startup ride to Lincoln Park. This will be a moderate fun ride with coffee/rest. stop at Lincoln Park Hot Bagels. We always regroup on hills and turns and our speed will be to keep the group together. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Hopefully the weather will cooperate and let us ride. So what do you say…go for it & sign up now! Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
The familiar flat loop with a stop at Dunkin. Expect about 17-18 on the flats which is most of the ride, finishing with an average pace of about 15. Meet by the upper lot by the railroad tracks. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
This is a fun introduction to group riding if you're new to the Club. Or, if you just want to get out and de-stress, this ride is for you as well. We will ride comfortably, no serious hills and only go as fast as the slowest rider, so, no one will be dropped. C riders are welcome. Please come with helmet, water bottle, front and rear bike light, spare tube and tires inflated. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]

Nonstop ride. Start to finish, it's a tight formation doing smooth, steady work. Staying in contact with the group requires a 19mph average. Higher averages can create attrition rates on this ride, so we'll hold the 19 average the first few laps. I want to slow it down and finish strong as a group. Five laps on a 7-mile circuit, passing the parking area every 7 miles. Do some, or all five laps. Goal is to stay together, start to finish. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Join us on a "A" paced ride up through the rolling roads of saddle river. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Let's do Bradley to Nyack. We will stop at Didier Dumas for coffee. After the break we will return the flat way. This will be on the low end of B* Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
I've never done this route but I'm looking for a change of scenery, so join me on an adventure that promises a few missed turns! Getting an early start to beat the heat. This will be a low B pace, so strong C* riders are welcome. We'll regroup at the top of hills and no one will be dropped. Bring plenty of water and we'll make a stop at David's Bagels for a quick refueling break. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Will start out flat and then we start climbing, sign up you’ll thank me afterwards. Bring your lights and ride safe, Thank you 😊. If your signed up and last minute you can’t ride, please remove your name. That’s about it. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]

Enjoy this "Out & Back" route to Blue Hill. So what do you say...go for it & sign up now! Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
Join us for our usual Wednesday B ride around Bergen County. Expect a 14.5 mph pace. We’ll head up to Old Stone Church and take a spin through Bergen Community College, but will turn on Century to avoid the park. Bring your lights and water bottles. We’ll make a quick bathroom stop at Elmer’s. After the ride, join us for pizza at Turvino’s. Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]

Please join me for my 70th Birthday Ride and our Annual Seafood Festival Adventure! Before registering, please read this listing carefully. This year's ride takes us to the wonderfully flat roads of Burlington County and the Pine Barrens of South Jersey. Along the way, we will visit two of New Jersey's most interesting historic destinations: • Historic Smithville – a charming village featuring shops, history, and beautiful surroundings.(https://www.tripsavvy.com/complete-guide-to-historic-smithville-new-jersey-5097215 ) • Batsto Village – one of the best-preserved historic communities in the Pine Barrens, dating back to the 18th century. We will allow time at both locations to stretch, explore, and enjoy the atmosphere before continuing our ride. The day will conclude with what has become a favorite tradition: great seafood, steaks, cold beverages, and good company on the waterfront near the Atlantic coast. IMPORTANT INFORMATION 1. Ride and Dinner Participation You are welcome to join the ride only. However, I encourage everyone to consider participating in the complete experience—the ride, the socializing, and dinner afterward. When registering, please clearly indicate whether you will be joining us for dinner. Restaurant seating is limited, and the restaurant requires an accurate headcount well in advance. If your plans change, please remove your name immediately. At present, dinner participation is limited to 20 people. 2. Start Time Is Critical Because of our restaurant reservation, we absolutely must start on time. Please allow 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours of travel time from North Jersey. Summer Shore traffic can easily add additional delays, so plan accordingly. Schedule: • 10:00 AM – Ride briefing • 10:15 AM – Wheels rolling • 4:00 PM – Dinner I have committed to the restaurant that our group will be seated at 4:00 PM, so we cannot afford a late departure or unnecessary delays during the ride. 3. Consider Making It a Weekend A suggestion: consider turning the trip into a weekend getaway. This area offers numerous attractions, beaches, casinos, wineries, and outdoor activities. Atlantic City is only about 20 minutes away, and several hotel options are available nearby. 4. Bring a Change of Clothes Please bring comfortable clothing for dinner after the ride. You'll appreciate it. 5. Dinner Payment The restaurant issues one check per table rather than separate checks. Please bring cash or be prepared to reimburse me via Venmo. I recommend budgeting approximately $75 or more, depending on your appetite and beverage choices. As always, please drink responsibly and make safe transportation decisions afterward. Dinner Location:http://oystercreekrestaurant.com Oyster Creek Restaurant Leeds Point, NJ 6. Parking Because this is Greenhead Fly season, local recommendations strongly suggest that we avoid parking near the restaurant. Instead, we will park at Historic Smithville, approximately two miles away. Smithville will serve as both our starting and ending point. After the ride, we will drive to the restaurant. 7. The Ride The route is approximately 47 miles with 660 feet of climbing. 8. Refreshment Stops We will make two brief refreshment stops, primarily for hydration and restroom breaks rather than extended eating stops. Since dinner is scheduled relatively early, I recommend carrying a light lunch or snacks to eat during the ride. 9. Group Ride Expectations While this is a terrific cycling route, it is equally a social event—and that has always been part of its appeal. We want to ride safely, enjoy one another's company, and arrive together. Additional ride details will be provided as the event approaches. Finally, on a personal note, turning 70 feels like a milestone worth celebrating. Rather than counting candles, I'd rather count miles ridden, friendships formed, adventures shared, and memories created along the way. I hope you'll join me for another memorable day of cycling, laughter, good food, and great company. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Rain Date: Friday, July 31 Ride will not go in rain or on wet roads. ]
