Hoping for a solid BTCNJ turnout for the 13th Annual Montclair Bikery Turkey Ride! Note: The ride is posted for "All" for signups on the BTCNJ ride site. Enjoy riding with your friends on this chilly, flat 15 mile ride while helping out those in need. We’ll stop at the Kings Supermarket in Upper Montclair to buy a frozen turkey and ride with it in our backpacks or panniers (or drop it in a van) to the Human Needs Food Pantry at 9 Label Street in Montclair. Turkeys will be distributed to families in need for Thanksgiving! Snacks and hot drinks after party at Egan & Sons, 118 Walnut Street, Montclair, next to the Food Pantry. The ride is free, but bring $20 cash or credit/turkey to spend at the supermarket. Please consider buying and donating more than one turkey, given then need in NJ.
Advance free registration at https://www.bikereg.com/montclair-bikery-turkey-ride. Free day of registration at 9 am at the Bikery. Ride starts at 10 am. All riders must wear helmets and be 18 or 13+ accompanied by an adult. The route will be provided that morning and will start and finish at the Montclair Bikery. All riders are recommended to dress for very cold weather. Look for your BTCNJ friends at the pre-ride gathering with donuts and coffee.
