YEAR IN REVIEW
Start Submitting Your Photos Now!
First and foremost, thank you for your submissions; they are very much appreciated. Your photographs are essential to creating a successful, fun, and motivating YIR video. However, the number of pics submitted to any one category can be overwhelming. It would be extremely helpful to self-edit before uploading them into Cluster. If you have duplicate or closely-matching shots, please only submit the best one. Please be conscious of the number of shots you submit of yourself, of you and your significant other, of the group you typically ride with, and the shots of your bikes in various settings. Again, pick only a few that you think are the best. Also, please refrain from adding technically unusable shots, i.e., out of focus or too dark. Your photos will get color-corrected and cropped if deemed necessary. Videos can also be added to the appropriate subjects.
Please read all the category options before selecting where to place your pics. There are some additional titles to help with the editing process. Clicking on the orange button below will give you access to all the categories.

SAFETY AND ADVOCACY
Promote the 4-Foot Passing Law
The New Jersey Department of Transportation wants your suggestions on where to place road signs to promote the 4-Foot Passing Law. An example of a good place for a sign is Route 202 North at the intersection of Changebridge Road or Route 202 South at the intersection of Indian Hill Road.
Submit your suggestions to Harold Leibovitz ( [email protected]) for forwarding to DOT. |
OPEN BOARD POSITIONS
Starting December 2024
There are several open positions on the Club Board for the coming year: Rally Chair, Special Events, and Tours. If you are interested in taking on any of these roles, please contact David
Goldstein.

D RIDES CONTINUE
Lead one now!
As a club, we want to ensure we are servicing all our categories as best we can. Starting May 1, ride leaders will earn two points for leading a D ride. To qualify, the ride must have signed-up riders who actually go out on the ride and who are not from the same household (as stated in Club rules for earning points). The two-point reward will continue through September. If this strategy is effective in increasing the number of D rides, the two-point reward for leading D rides may continue into the fall. |

SEPTEMBER SAFETY TIP
This Month's Topic Is...
...stamping out riding in the middle of the road.
This riding season, we’ve seen an increased number of people riding in the middle of the road. Riding in the middle of the road endangers everyone, violates state law and goes against Club policy. The Board asks for your help in eliminating this problem.
-- Ask your Ride Leader to speak to riders who continually ride in the middle of the road
-- Report unsafe riders to the Rides Captain, Keith Schlanger, or Safety and Advocacy Chair, Harold Leibovitz.
For more information on riding in the middle of the road, please see the article in this month’s Masterlink and Safety Tip of the Month.
